The Jewish base layer is in place: a 2+ sq mile eruv, mikvah, kosher food sections at local stores, day schools in the broader valley. Most kosher restaurants are a 25-minute drive toward the Strip.

What we did with what’s here.
Henderson, like most of America, is built around the car. Most of daily life sits a drive away, and that pattern doesn’t naturally produce a tight-knit community on its own.
Our neighborhood is one corner that’s built differently — on purpose. The shul is in the neighborhood, not a drive away. Kids play outside, on streets quiet enough for it. Adults bump into each other without a calendar invite. Everything you need on Shabbos is within a few minutes’ walk.
And it’s wrapped in everything Henderson already offers: low crime, no state income tax, mild weather, national parks out the back door, a 4-hour drive to LA, a 2.5-hour drive to Zion. People who move here for the community quickly notice they got the outdoors as a bonus.
About the community.
Bais Tefilah is a walkable Henderson community of families who want to raise their kids around real neighbors, not just other kids.
